About

This blog is by an Estonian discovering her childhood dream country Canada. Based in Toronto, but sometimes traveling. Looking for an Estonian connection in the far away country and giving away tips about what to see, what to do, what to experience. Hence the name of the blog: Toronto. Canada. Estonia.

Elves!

Oh boy. I got directions to some place from Santa to pick up something. It was a very windy and cold day and I cycled down to downtown to take care of the request. Great was my surprise when I realized that a dozen muffins were put on my hands. What a huge box, and I came with bike! Oh boy again. I just had to put the box to my bag, but when I got home this had happened - so sad! But no matter to that - all got eaten and it took us weeks! Thank you elves :)
By the way these are the best cupcakes in town - Prarie Girl makes them! I recommend them highly!

Under the bridge

We were walking to the movies on Don Valley trail. A pedestrian can pass from North to South in the urban nature and be away from the cars. I highly recommend that to everybody in Toronto. It is a nice road with many interesting things to see and take photos of. It also passes many bridges and if I am not mistaken, then this one is Gerrard East bridge.

Bad manners at the movies

Which one you find annoying? I haven't experienced the plot spoilers yet, but all others are quite annoying, but the worst is the seat kicking, though a talking on the phone when the person is sitting next to you is quite bad as well...

1 cent no longer valid

Canada announced that the 1 cent is no longer in use. I found a nice, kind of a new one and did what I used when I was little - penciled it though the paper :)

Toronto seasons

I found this great graph about the seasons in Toronto. I have experienced that day in March, where it's really warm ;) Heheee.

Yayyy, new lanes on Sherbourne street. Gotta take photos of it while cycling :)

Hot Yam

I have heard a lot about this gem in downtown Toronto, where vegetarian meals are offered in low prices and the food was supposed to be good. Well, yeah it was cheap, but not so good, but a good initiative by group of young people, but no more as of 2014. The place has closed down.

Santa Clause parade vol. 5 - Santa Claus

There he is, the man who we were waiting for, for hours - Santa Clause itself :)

Thank you for bearing with me through these colorful photos:P

Santa Clause parade vol. 5 - trucks

Some attractions were too large to be carried on hands, so they were put on the trucks - more fun!

Santa Clause parade vol. 4 - costumes

So much color, so much variety and so much fun! Cool costumes at Santa Clause parade!

Santa Clause parade vol. 3 - uniforms

The show is about to come out and show yourself to the spectators. Therefore all workers wear their work uniforms and therefore look good and interesting for the photo.

Santa Clause parade vol. 2 - vehicles

Not so much, as I deleted many, to leave you with these the coolest ones :)

More about the parade HERE.

Santa Clause parade vol. 1 - spectators

I am sure I have published before a gallery from the Santa Clause Parade, well this time I have much more photos of the event. Since there is so many photos from the parade, I am breaking down the set into different series - this time spectators, who where there in abundance. Dressed up and ready to see the Santa!
