Yayy, snow!

I was so glad to see some snow, of course cycling is done now, but still. Man I need some snow in winter :)

Saddle love

So cute, When I came out to get my bike after visiting a nice jazz bar on Queen East, I noticed a similar looking bike there with the same plastic bag cover. Isn't that cute :)

I ended up taking photos throughout my ride, as it was such a great day sunny and I felt good - why not? I captured a cool bike messenger, sleepy street and cool buildings of Bloor West and of course me on the bike :)

Love cycling in Toronto

I love sun, I love cycling, I love taking photos, I know the last two do not go so well together, but I tried just this once. On my way to work.

Tree+bike=dead tree

Toronto is a big city, but it different neighborhoods have a real deep sense of community. They always stand up for their rights and when there is injustice they step up. I mean for real, fight for your rights! 

I saw somebody had put up laminated and pretty sturdy signs for bikers not to lock their bikes on trees. It is great how it works - there are still bikes locked. Of course when there is no parking you do that, I have done it few times. 

I think the city has to take the blame - too few bike racks :P

Taking the hills

I bought myself a new bike computer, and I have been testing it out, it has been working great so far. I enjoy the many bike paths Toronto has. Google Maps has become a good friend of mine! :) It shows many options for cyclists and it is a great route planner. I am having lots of fun. I am not afraid of taking the hills!

Too large for my luggage

On my way from Earth Hour to home to continue my packing, I came across this great art of Hindi gods. I felt so much in my heart and took a photo of me and the gods in front of a garbage container. Life is full of surprises.

Lock is stuck!

It has been quite busy for some time, as I have been here and there. All was great until yesterday when I was trying to get home, but my bike didn't think so, or I should say that my lock wasn't co-operating. With heavy heart I had to leave the bike there for the night and try to figure out the solution tomorrow. It was actually easy, as the people of Estonian House had the tool needed for the job, so I was forced to give up my good U-lock, but my bike was freed and I could go to places again. Thanks!

Nova, my bike, Craigslist treasure vol. 1

I needed a bike in Toronto. Since I didn't have much money, I posted an ad to Craigslist. Asking if there is anybody who has an extra bike to give away. This nice guy, Jason contacted me and said that he has one which could be suitable. I bought a kilo of grapes and met him at the Bathurst station and there you go - here is Nova. 

I am excited to take her around in the city or actually vice versa to take me around the city :)
