About
This blog is by an Estonian discovering her childhood dream country Canada. Based in Toronto, but sometimes traveling. Looking for an Estonian connection in the far away country and giving away tips about what to see, what to do, what to experience. Hence the name of the blog: Toronto. Canada. Estonia.

This is how these gorgeous buns are made and enjoyed!
The thing is, that after sleighing, you can treat yourself with these.

Next day after the storm
Nova survived!
Streets look so messy.
But sun is shining and all is well!
The paths really make sense now.
Idyllic.
Children sure have fun.

Before and after
The first photo was taken when I was in the middle of my long walk, and the second, when I had arrived to my destination.

art+fusion vol. 2
Some dancing, circus and card tricks.
If I think of the event, then I really can't think that we have something like this in Estonia.
More to come....
art+fusion vol. 1
I signed up as a volunteer photographer for a art and busker festival "art+fusion". It was about music, dancing, performing, buskers, art, poetry, films etc. Basically everything you can think of, even strip-dancing and poker playing. I have quite an abundance of photos I took there, so I will break the galleries down to shorter ones for easier viewing.
Alberta Estonians
Tartu College opened an exhibition about Alberta Estonians, who were the first to come to Canada and settle here. The community at this day is not very large, but it is still there and they are trying to keep Estonianism alive.

"Grandmother"
I know Riti from the kitchen. She helped me to mend my jacket and created a little pocket there, which I still cherich a lot even on this day. She is a fast chef and can do excellent multi-tasking. She had just returned back from Cuba, as you can tell by the tan :)

Portrait session with Helga
My friends offered me a little photography gig, as a yoga trainer Helga from Sweden needed some promotional shots of herself. Here is a sample how she wanted the photos to be.

Andres Taul
I had an honour to photograph Mr. Andres Taul. He was born in 1936 in my home town in Estonia, but had to move with family to Germany in early age. He has been involved with religious matters for many-many years. He used to be the headbishop of Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church, but few years now he is Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church Foreign-Estonian head bishop. He was very good model and such a humble man and took my directions while shooting well. I was very thankful for the chance that I got to take photos of him.

Happy New Year 2013
On our way home, we met these girls, of whom she was more talkative, more happy and more energetic. She ws still wearing her kimono under the winterwear and this cool tiara. I am glad she allowed me to take a photo of her! :)
Midnite run & party vol. 5
Yayyy, when all this freezing was done - we all got to come inside and enjoy some meals and nice company. We had this pretty cool woman sitting in our table with a funny set on. Heheheee, new year has started interestingly :)

Midnite run & party vol. 2
After the check-in, we had another task, to get to different spots, where we had to guid the runners. Four people were taken to here and there. We met this couple, who were also volunteering and they shared a van ride with us. No chairs, just empty spot!
Midnite run & party vol. 1
I wanted to do volunteering and spend the last day of the year doing something interesting. Luckily there was a running event, which was looking for volunteers. I talked Evelyn to come with me and there we were - amongst all runners trying to find our way there.
First we checked-in participants and handed them their packages. We saw some cool runners, who have been creative to get their lights on.

Outside it was freezing
It was literally so cold outside, that the drinks were kept in front of the house. You can see how slow the vodka is running...prrr, freezing!
