About

This blog is by an Estonian discovering her childhood dream country Canada. Based in Toronto, but sometimes traveling. Looking for an Estonian connection in the far away country and giving away tips about what to see, what to do, what to experience. Hence the name of the blog: Toronto. Canada. Estonia.

Pakistani cuisine

We were hungry after leaving the movies and stopped at this pretty sketchy Pakistani restaurant. I have always wanted to eat from metal trays, as in the movies, so this time I could do it. Food was excllent, but quite hot! Almost had tears, but I will never forget the rainbow of flavours this food had. I love it!

Evelyn's birthday

A little gathering of people during her birthday and a launch of her Ajowa Naturals line.

January sunset

Not the best quality photo, but what a lovely sight over East York.

Last fall count

Not so much, but still considering that I have been cycling whole fall and winter, as of January 7th, 2013.

Creative families

The lack of snow is not a reason enough to build wonderful snow sculptures. Creative families with children have managed to make great art.

The biggest muffin ever!

That is the biggest muffin I have ever had in my life! Coffee time is serving it. Wow!

At the airport

So my brother left. Awww...I was so sad that I even cried. It was great that he came over, but I was sad to leave him as well. These were taken at Pearson Airport.

Drag-queen show at Church Street

We took my brother to a drag-queen show. It was great. This particular woman was the best of them and and she was so beautiful!

I wonder if they even do these in Estonia, I should check it out.

Movie site

There are always so many movies filmed in Toronto. Not for once I have noticed a lot where they are actually filming something, until this October day I noticed a small site on Yonge Street. Sorry for a bad photo, but just wanted to share this with you.

Canadian birthday party

This long Saturday came to an end at Imperial, which is a bit sketchy, but huge bar close to Yonge and Dundas Square. This was my first Canadian birthday I think and we celebrated there Jenna's birthday. She was very friendly and loud-talking girl and introduced me kindly her other friends. We were inside and then went outside patio, which gave a great view. What a nice evening!

Oh, yeah, we ordered huge cranberry soda's, which as you can see from the lousy photo, look great! This is the drink I got to know while in Canada, so this is my drink from now on when I am out.
Jenna had ordered few platters of all the good pub foods, which we enjoyed a great deal. Mmmm.

Dark street art

I found the bike wall as a complete surprise, but there was simply not enough light there to produce a better photo than that. I apologize for that.
The other photos reminded me a random house in Germany perhaps. Looked not like North-American at all, but rather something different.

Walk in the park

I will be seeing this sign a lot, as I pass the park in our hood many times. Reminds me of my photo blog daily: kerly.blogspot.com

Bench

Another great find from our walk - a coffee cup bench to rest your feet or enjoy your coffee purchased from the coffee shop :) who has put that bench up there.

Colgate Avenue

Walking in the city is really opening my eyes for new and interesting street names.

Froggy's birth

Street art vol. 1

This is what I call a true street, something which looks so great and is very real. Who wouldn't appreciate the beauty of birds and a beautiful art work.

City never sleeps

Toronto still doesn't sleep. New buildings are built and new graffiti has been made.

Canadian Typology IV

Long live the t-shirts and their wearers :)
