Pakistani cuisine

We were hungry after leaving the movies and stopped at this pretty sketchy Pakistani restaurant. I have always wanted to eat from metal trays, as in the movies, so this time I could do it. Food was excllent, but quite hot! Almost had tears, but I will never forget the rainbow of flavours this food had. I love it! 

"Grandmother"

I know Riti from the kitchen. She helped me to mend my jacket and created a little pocket there, which I still cherich a lot even on this day. She is a fast chef and can do excellent multi-tasking. She had just returned back from Cuba, as you can tell by the tan :)

These little gold fish I saw in the middle of the street while walking downtown...

I think they suit together very nice :)

Brunch at Coffee Time

We had a surprise brunch with Evelyn, as we wanted to eat something out, it was just one of those feelings, you know. Coffee Time again, this time an omelette sandwich and a huge bun. Took a photo with my phone next to it, to show how big it is!

The biggest muffin ever!

That is the biggest muffin I have ever had in my life! Coffee time is serving it. Wow!

Jamie visiting

Jamie came visiting from USA, we went out to eat, to a jazz concert and finished the day at the cafeteria.

The Rex at the King

We went to check out this jazz bar I have meaning to go. It was a nice surprise with great music, good food and pleasant crowd. We had fun while eating so delicious sweet potato fries and drinking our fave cranberry soda.

Fresh in restaurant

We had some soup on Monday evening and before leaving a little indoor fountain caught my eye - it was decorated very interestingly, with plastic animals and few gold fish too :) I think you can find anything in the big cities.

Shangrila

I am sorry that the photos didn't turn out as good, as was the food there. They have excellent momo's. If you do not know what those are, then find a place where they serve them, why not Shangrila.
I loved their sign at the ladies room :D

Hero Burger

Alrighty, looks like a lot of burgers, doesn't it? :P Just five days later I had my first commercial burger at Hero Burgers at Queen and Palmertson. It looks so good and believe me, it tastes the same. I am thankful for the world for giving such good vegetarian options to eat out! Must be the big city thing.

Bombay Chowpatty

It doesn't happen often that you enter a pretty random Indian kitchen and you will find out that they are serving vegetarian burger there. I think this was the first real home-made burger I have ever had. The bun was a bit dry, but the content was warm and spicy :) I recommend.

Ed's Real Scoop

I was riding to meet my friends at Queen East 920. Guess what? The best ice-cream parlor is located there. This is called Ed's Real Scoop. Click on the photo to see their website. 

Anyway, we had a set of three ice-creams on a box with a little spoon. It was heavenly and I highly recommend that to anybody. They have another location deeper on the eastside of Queen Street.

Anyway I of course managed to get some ice-cream on my pants and the worker there was so kind to give me a tissue with a special cleaner on it, and he says I have give out hundreds of such firs-aid kits :P as lots of stains happen here. He said it is better than the dish detergent, which fades the color of your clothing.
