About

This blog is by an Estonian discovering her childhood dream country Canada. Based in Toronto, but sometimes traveling. Looking for an Estonian connection in the far away country and giving away tips about what to see, what to do, what to experience. Hence the name of the blog: Toronto. Canada. Estonia.

Winter still

A creek with its calmness.

Jake having fun!

It sure seemed like lots of fun!

Winder wonderland

An old, grey picturesque barn in the middle of the snowy fields....winter in Canada.

Hi!

Some cute animals were enjoying the winter as well :)

Sleighing

A must when living in the countryside!

Jake got this brand new sleigh, hand-made artisan one, by the way, for Christmas and we took it out to ride. I mean I took mostly photos, though, but I got to try it too!

Christmas Day breakfast!

Love the mornings, here in the countryside!

Christmas melody

It was singing, it was moving, it was lit!

Late night snacks

Cheryl, the woman, who gave us a ride, hosts sister, had made a nice cold casserole, which was a dipping dish, looked so wonderful, but tasted even better.

A small dinner before going to sleep, before an exciting day. All healthy good and all good...mmmm..

Christmas tree

Another interpretation of their lovely Christmas tree.

Egg-nogg

This is my first ever egg-nogg! I never knew what it is about, but apparently it is an excellent sweet Cristmas drink made of eggs and milk, main flavour comes from nutmeg...mmm...served with ice by fireplace...sounds great, isn't it?

Workshop

My favorite place here - the workshop. This is where all the creativity has been put to work, where things are made and dreams come true. Nicely organized place with all the tools and extras needed. I loved working here while my volunteer days and I keep coming back here every now and then to do the same!

Gallery

My second favorite place at the business/home - the gallery, where the things created come alive, get a price tag and are waiting for admirers :) So much creativity has been put into these things, recycling, reusing to save the lovely planet.

Back in Dansforth!

Hahaha, this is how Evelyn is calling it :) Countryside, free and supporting place, this is how I call it.
In Estonia, it is Christmas Eve tonight, the nicest evening of the year. Excited about my Christmas here in Canada, though with the dearest people to me.
