Screen Lounge at College St. Toronto

This was my first lounge visit in Toronto. I have arrived back here and I think it is time to get busy.

I found my way here with a Couchsurfer, who couldn't host me, but he was DJing and asked to come along. Met some of his friends and some locals. It was pretty fun.

Three chocolate boys

We have a song in Estonian which goes something like that: "The three of us are coming from the land of cookies". Yeah, in this case chocolate cookies :)

Remember the handsome boy from the camp. Well he was in this party as well. Looking good and all and enjoying his soviet time 1980 Olympic Games hand towel! Yayy, way to go, Nick!

Party like never before

In Seedriorg the end of August becomes a huge party site. There are DJ-s in different locations and you see so many interesting people and hear lots of good music to shake your booty! As you can see on the picture included ;)

We used to have Pühajärve Beach Party which I think would resemble a bit to this event.

You are still in Toronto, when Ontario highway 401 cuts the city. But when you see it, then it means you are way up north in the City. Interesting fact is that the part of Highway 401 that passes through Toronto is the busiest highway in the world, and one of the widest. The posted speed limit is 100 km/h (62 mph) throughout its length. 

So now you can imagine what the traffic and traffic jams look like there.

We do not have many four lane roads in Estonia, there is a strip to south to Tartu and east to Narva, but I think that is all.

Desmond and his pals

This is Desmond, a very kind and supportive man from Etobicoke. He helped me out a lot and opened me his home door. I am very appreciative to you and I hope all is well with you and your family.

I met Carrie online on 2006, she kept visiting my blog and left kind comments. I did the same for her. We kept together and when I was finally in Toronto, we met up. So this is the real Carrie, not the online version.

This is my time off to Toronto to meet my friend whose place I surfed at when first arrived to Toronto in spring. So it looks like summer is coming to and end.

Fern was so kind to give me a ride to Toronto for free. I think she even took me to the doorway. Thank you so much!

Portobello burger

To celebrate Estonian Reindependence Day it was perfect to enjoy a healthy burger made of portobello and lots of good greens.

Baltic Deli

In Kingston, ON I noticed the first place which is referring to my corner of the world. So they had a Baltic Deli there with all kinds of Baltic delicatessen. Check the window display to find out more.

Birthday trip

Well, no birthday's are long enough to complete all you wish. So we didn't manage to go and enjoy the day at the beach. Instead we did that the next day. Whole day - food and drinks with us, sun and swimming. Just great! Are all Canadian summers like that?

Birthday cake

Host mom had baked a nice moist carrot cake for me. She even put a little titu on top of the cake, as she knows I adore them. Nice candles and nice singing. Thank you my dear Canadian Family for that experience!

Birthday Dinner!

I was out working, I mean volunteering and when I got in the living room was decorated nicely and my favorite sushi platter was waiting to dig in. After that we watched my favorite movie "Shawshank Redemption". So yeah, a great birthday indeed.

Happy birthday..................me!

Well, as I said the food has been great, then the desserts are even better. Had nice warmed waffles which my host had made me with maple syrup on top and butter, too. Sweet and hot cup of hot chocolate on a side. The best breakfast on your birthday, yeah?

Project coming to an end

Amazing omelette

Food just keeps on being one of the best things in Canada, as are the people. Yummy! Who would say no to such omelette?!?!?

This is not the best shot I got from that perfect evening of lightning photography, but still shows pretty well how exciting it was to take photos there.

Sunrise

Since I no longer had to be at camp I was the boss of my own time, so once I didn't go to sleep before the sunrise, which was truly wonderful. I am glad I took my camera bag out and went to a little wandering in the area. Results can be seen in here.
