About

This blog is by an Estonian discovering her childhood dream country Canada. Based in Toronto, but sometimes traveling. Looking for an Estonian connection in the far away country and giving away tips about what to see, what to do, what to experience. Hence the name of the blog: Toronto. Canada. Estonia.

My photography exhibition in Toronto!

Yay, this is it! My first photography exhibition in Toronto! I am so stoked to be part of it and glad that my friends came to visit me. Plus I did some good selling as well. It feels great to be supported and noticed.

My set was called "Shift in light" and it composed of different long shutter-speed photos. They turned out pretty well and worked greatly as a set.

The family you see last on the photo were my host during the first week I had arrived in Toronto last spring, in April. It is amazing how warm and open people are to help a traveler out. Thank you so much guys, you have no idea how much you helped me!

Photography art-show sale

I was offered to participate as one of six photographers in Estonian House at a photography art-show sale. It was a great honor for me and a great chance to get some exposure for my photography. We had some time to put up our art before the main event tomorrow.

Black Milk

I had subscribed somehow for few music newsletters. This is how I got to know wonderful rapper called Black Milk. It was great to see his name coming up in NOW performing at The Great Hall. Wow. Of course I bought my tickets pre-sale and I was lucky enough to go and have my camera with me to take some amazing shots of him. Here are few  good ones.

More about the artist HERE.

Photography exhibition

Unfortunately I have no memory for this particular photography exhibition and Ryerson Image Center's homepage is not providing any information either. I am sure it was something important, as otherwise I wouldn't have taken a picture. It is sure by a famous photographer.

If you can understand what is written under the eye photo, please let me know. Thanks!

Ghanian speciality

This is a comfort food - quinoa with spinach stew sprinkled with fresh coriander. Uh-uh. You can learn so much from various cultures who are living in the city.

Caldense Bakery & Pastries

There is a active and quite popular bakery in Eglinton West called Caldense Bakery. They offer a variety of pastry and cakes on site and to go. This is where the lovely piece of this cake is coming from. It was amazing.
