Originally it became known and appreciated in 1967 when the first Kotkajärve Metsaülikool (Forest university) took place there. Metsaülikool was established on 1966 as an apolitical organization for spreading objective information about Estonian culture, science, politics and public questions. Every year such themes training's take place.
