Fall through sunglasses

I had fun while capturing fall in Ontario through the sunglasses I got to use while my stay there. I really didn't know it is going to be such a nice and sunny Thanksgiving weekend.Thank god for the sun! It all looked amazing through the glasses.

Weekend at the countryside

We had a chance to spend the weekend at my former host family in Ontario. It was so good to see them. They had some great things planned for us, one of it was a photo shoot at their newly renovated visiting artist apartment. This looked amazing. To Virginia!

I managed to take a little road-trip and I ended up in Virginia. Yeah-yeah, the home of Capitol Building and the White House and all the great history. A world changing place!

Collingswood art gallery (one of the many)

This is how we made it to Collingswood to check out Carrie's two paintings she sent to the art sale-show. She was able to sell one. Good luck! It was a nice day trip to a little village like that. One of my first places I got to see other than Toronto after my arrival two months ago.

Deer

This is an actual living and breathing deer. That is the closest I have ever been to a wild one out in the wilderness. Oh boy, right? I couldn't go any closer, as otherwise I would have lost the frame of the shot. That deer was so brave and afraid of nothing, I just kept approaching. Great lighting, too.

Photographing Canadian fall

We continued to be on the road in Algonquin Park to amaze the beauty of the colorful leaves which were covering landscape until our eyes could see.

Hitch-hiking

Shortly after that we had to get home. We decided to hitch-hike, as Seedriorg wasn't so far and there are no buses going there. Let's live a little.

Truck country

Many people seem to have trucks in the countryside - makes sense as you can move lots of stuff with it and you will not be stuck on flooded or muddy roads. I like them. F150 is one of my favorites.

Our host in Windsor, Virginianne is a great artist, dog lover and loves to have fun.

She is an only person who has just one name in her passport. Yup.

Dessert 1

I have a gut feeling that there are some great sweet discoveries for me out there in Canada. Here is an example of my first delight.

Northern Dancer

Little I knew that the host, artist Virginianne, is so famous and known. She had made a bronze sculpture of a horse called Northern Dancer to The Queen Mother and it was delivered to her and a thank you note was sent to her.

Canadian hat

Today my first Canadian road-trip started. I met my host and her friend and we took off from Etobicoke to Windsor. Hope I can get to Detroit as well.

This hat was given to me by Dana, who I met in Iceland. She left when I was off at another camp and when I came back to Reykjavik, she had left me a bag with few goodies in it and my favourite item was this lovely red hat.
