About
This blog is by an Estonian discovering her childhood dream country Canada. Based in Toronto, but sometimes traveling. Looking for an Estonian connection in the far away country and giving away tips about what to see, what to do, what to experience. Hence the name of the blog: Toronto. Canada. Estonia.

Method Man vol. 2
Here are more portraits of Method Man in Toronto!
I am blessed for this chance and Evelyn, I hope you had a great birthday!
Method Man vol. 1
I had an amazing chance of seeing Method Man's live in Toronto this year!
Wow. Wow. Of course I couldn't bring my full kit with me, so the shots I took were with a little compact camera. Not bad still.
To be continued....

The Rex at the King
We went to check out this jazz bar I have meaning to go. It was a nice surprise with great music, good food and pleasant crowd. We had fun while eating so delicious sweet potato fries and drinking our fave cranberry soda.
Check The Rex out HERE.

Ewert and the Two Dragons vol. 4
Final post of the Dragons, so you can lay back now :P
After the show it was a moment to speak with the Dragons, get autographs and take photos together. What a great evening! Thanks for the great show, guys!
See the whole article and gallery here: http://www.eestielu.ca/et/component/content/article/136-estonianlife-eestielu/events-sundmused/local-events-kohalikud-sundmused/815-ewert-and-the-two-dragons-esines-taas-torontos
Ewert and the Two Dragons vol. 2
This is my favorite shot of the evening!
Just to give you an overview of the crowd that had gathered to enjoy very popular Estonian soft rock.
Ewert and the Two Dragons vol. 1
Why so much fuzz over a live show? Well, The Lighthouse and the Whaler was a warm-up act for Estonian own Ewert and the Two Dragons! They were on their North American tour and stopped in Toronto as well. Party in our yard!
I really enjoyed taking photos of them, as they are a bunch of handsome guys. Light was really good and so was the music! Lots more photos to come! :)
The Lighthouse and the Whaler vol.1
In the following posts you will see lots of dark background photos of wonderful musicians. Just enjoy the portraits of them :)
The Lighthouse and the Whaler is a band from Cleveland, Ohio. Since its formation the band has moved from a folk trio to a rock quartet. That evening they had some help from a singer and a violin player. I loved taking photos of them, as they all were so photogenic :)

Ewert and the Two Dragons in Toronto!
This spring a mania of Ewert and The Two Dragons took place in Toronto. The name was in the air, people bought their CD's and they even came to visit us at the Estonian House! Wow! It was nice to see them, of course, but never did I think that they will become so important me during my last days before heading home...more about it in my next post.

These are Maitmets'
We went to see with friends Riho and Kaili performing in one of the music department halls of University of Toronto. Kaili was playing flute and performing some of her brother's composed music. They are both wonderful and creative people. Kaili was also one of the participants at "Am I Estonian?" project. Riho has been to Estonia a lot and planning to go there for some time soon.
Check Riho's website HERE.

Sound Academy!
I won free tickets to a random rock-concert. I invited Annaliis with me there and shot this lousy phone photo. I think there will be more photos of this place to come, as I really liked the venue.

Jay Z
We even made fan apparel with Evelyn. I was wearing Jay and she was wearing Z and the backs said She 99 and me Problems.
Coolio!
Thanks for Ian who literally made this concert real for me. And of course Evelyn for a wonderful company!
Jay Z and Kanye West!!!
Oh yeah, my long-time dream came true - I was able to go and see Jay Z live. Who could have known? Not me! The house was wild and packed, and people smoked lots of weed, which seems so average in this country.
I got these few shots, which I consider the best of the show with my small compact. Actually it belonged to Evelyn's mom :O
